Joining a walkerspool
In many countries, cities and villages you find walkerspools. An example. Twenty years ago some friends put a small add in the Dutch daily paper Trouw. They wished a pool of walkers who could form groups. Now 4,600 participants and an online newsletter flourish. 100 walks are avaible.
- The walks take one day or a half. The ‘shoecode’ tells how strong or light the journey will be.
- People who join can talk to each other if they like. Saying nothing can be nice, says one. Another: “Sometimes you can tell the story of your life without the need of being face to face".
