Listening to health professionals
The World Health Organization and others have done research on how many steps are needed for a healthy life. The WHO knows how much you should walk, as a general rule. You can consult a health professional as well as listen to your own body.
- Guidelines vary by age, country and health situation. What is best for you?
- One person makes 4,000 steps per day, another 10,000.
- One strolls during one hour a day and goes for some shopping. The other walks briskly one kilometer during lunch break.
